Dallas police say pet owner shot at neighbor who complained about growling dog

A dog owner was arrested Tuesday night in South Dallas after police say she shot at a neighbor who complained about her German shepherd.

Patricia Barlow, 44, faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the attack in the 3700 block of Myrtle Street.

Police responded to a 911 call placed by Donald Rogers around 6 p.m. He told police he had asked Barlow to call her dog off as he sat near her house on Metropolitan Avenue, near St. Anthony’s School.
