Dallas police say pet owner shot at neighbor who complained about growling dog
A dog owner was arrested Tuesday night in South Dallas after police say she shot at a neighbor who complained about her German shepherd.
Patricia Barlow, 44, faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the attack in the 3700 block of Myrtle Street.
Police responded to a 911 call placed by Donald Rogers around 6 p.m. He told police he had asked Barlow to call her dog off as he sat near her house on Metropolitan Avenue, near St. Anthony’s School.

The German Shepherd Dog, also known as Alsatian is a breed of large-sized dog that originated in Germany which dates back in 1899. Developed originally for herding sheep but because of their strength, intelligence and abilities in obedience training, today they are often employed as police war dogs.
