Food starved German shepherd recovering
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (KABC) — A three-year-old German shepherd is recovering after being taken by a good Samaritan to an Orange County veterinary clinic near death from starvation on April 7th.
Nine days later, the dog’s owner, Kimberly Nizato of Bellflower, was arrested and charged with one count of felony animal cruelty and one misdemeanor count of failing to provide care.




The German Shepherd Dog, also known as Alsatian is a breed of large-sized dog that originated in Germany which dates back in 1899. Developed originally for herding sheep but because of their strength, intelligence and abilities in obedience training, today they are often employed as police war dogs.
