Owner of lost dog from Italy found in Coronado
SAN DIEGO — After an international investigation, help from abroad and a little tenacity, the case of the Italian German shepherd has been solved.
Five days after the wayward pup showed up at the Gilman Drive Park-N-Ride, county animal officials were able to track down its owner Monday to a Coronado apartment.

The German Shepherd Dog, also known as Alsatian is a breed of large-sized dog that originated in Germany which dates back in 1899. Developed originally for herding sheep but because of their strength, intelligence and abilities in obedience training, today they are often employed as police war dogs.
