Weakness is not a virtue among dogs
The weak may be ‘blessed’ to us humans but in the dog world they are shunned. Weak members make weak packs and no dog worth his salt wants to belong to a weak pack.
Often weak dogs are attacked in an attempt to drive them from the pack and under no circumstances would a strong dog take directions from a weaker one.
In the canine world weakness is a curse threatening survival of the entire pack so you can understand why pet dogs respond better to strong owners. Strong owners represent security.

The German Shepherd Dog, also known as Alsatian is a breed of large-sized dog that originated in Germany which dates back in 1899. Developed originally for herding sheep but because of their strength, intelligence and abilities in obedience training, today they are often employed as police war dogs.
